Inline with Goal Number 13 and Goal Number 7 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and in a bid to adapt to climate change and reduce global warming, Slum Women’s initiative for Development has partnered with the Huairou Commision to help conserve the environment by providing energy saving stoves.
SWID is committed to helping achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through her work that is in line with the goals. The fifty women residents of Butagaya greatly appreciated the great work that is done by the organisation, having availed them with hundreds of energy saving stoves.
Speaking to the women women who attended , the Executive Director, Ms. Joyce Rosemary Nangobi encouraged the women to use the availed energy saving stoves to help conserve the environment.
